Illuminate: Kundalini Yoga & Yoga Nidra with Maxine

A seasonal glow up for the body, mind and soul!
This two hour experience will involve a revitalising combination of Kundalini Yoga to shake away stress and tension, Yoga Nidra for blissful relaxation, and hands-on Reiki healing to promote inner harmony and radiance.
A little more on these ancient practices….
Kundalini Yoga: also known as ‘the yoga of awareness’. The practice involves chanting, singing, breathing exercises, and repetitive poses that activate your Kundalini energy (also known as life force or Shakti) located at the base of the spine. Kundalini generally feels revitalising yet relaxing and is particularly fantastic for spinal health and the nervous system.

Yoga Nidra: also known as ‘yogic sleep’. This is a meditation that typically takes place lying down in savasana. You’ll be settled comfortably with blankets whilst I guIde you through the meditation. Many people find they reach a ‘hypnogogic state’ (not quite awake and not quite asleep) which is profoundly relaxing and restorative for the brain.
Reiki: A holistic healing modality that can assist with the flow of energy in a similar way to acupressure. This is done on an energetic level, typically with a combination of ‘hands on’ and ‘hands-off’ (working in the energies surrounding the body) techniques. In an Illuminate sessions I typically work on the feet, head and shoulder area.
